Private Highway

February 11, 2007 jeansdream

Must be due to all the environmental issues / debates / awareness campaigns these days, I had this dream last night. Hubby and I had to drive to Vancouver. We were driving on above ground on a blue, underwire-supported, air-filled plastic belt road alone. This “highway” was retractable and would only be filled with air when there’s a need to use it. The material was a type of “intelligent plastic” that’s tough and sturdy enough for driving but yet when the underwire wasn’t charged with electricity, the plastic would be soft and the whole thing can be packed up and be stored somewhere. Another neat thing about this material was it’s self-repairable, sort of like water and ice, that when the surface was uneven, the wire would send signals to get the plastic turn to liquid form to fill up the holes / dents etc and it would turn into solid form after.

There are many wonderful types of plastic these days. And the self-repairable materials are quite neat.

Now, putting the two together in a dream highway is new. (smile)
